Live for the Moment
We humans always try to convince ourselves that life will be better at some other phase, after we grow up, get married, or have a baby. Then we become frustrated that the kids aren’t old enough .After that we’re frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car,or are able to go on a nice vacation, or when we retire. We have an inclination to believe that as soon as some special event happens in our life , happiness will flow in like a giant unleashed river.
No matter what stage of life we enter, there will always be challenges, things will never be “perfect”. Life is full of challenges and obstacles, and even though some parts of our lives can be better than others, it will never be what we would deem as perfect.
Having said that, what better time is there than now to be happy.
If your life is currently filled with challenges and events that you can no longer deal with, it is wise to work at ridding yourself of these events and/ or people who are causing your grief. It can take some time , your life didn’t get this way over night, so in all probability, it won’t suddenly change overnight, work on a five year plan, beginning with small steps. Get some of the minor annoyances out of the way first, this will give you a glimmer of hope and you will realize that you can change anything you want about your life.
Then begin thinking about the positive things in your life and how happy they make you. Work on the things that need to be eliminated or changed, but focus on the good things you are thankful for. Positivity breeds positivity.
Happiness is the way, the universe responds to how we feel and what we focus on , by focusing on positive events and feelings, we will draw more of those things to us.
Stop waiting for something to happen in your life to make you happy, time waits for no one, create that event in your life.Be open to new ideas and possibilities you hadn’t thought or dreamed of, sometimes the universe has things in store for us we could never had imagined , all we have to do is be open to the possibilities and go with the flow.
Thought for the day :
Work like you don’t need money,
Love like you’ve never been hurt,
And dance like no one’s watching.
