Adrenal Fatigue

Several years ago , my life became very stressful, many life changing events seemed to be happening at the same time, and not only was I working ten to twelve hours a day, but after I returned home for the day, I would spend a couple of hours on the phone with either attorneys or credit card companies.

After spending many years, like a lot of Americans in today’s society in stressful occupations, it began to take it’s toll. After that period of time passed, I felt as though I was completely burned out, I no longer had a desire to participate in today’s world, I felt like just coasting through life.

I never realized it at the time, I was still rather active for my age, and assumed what I was feeling was just a result of getting older. I didn’t feel sick ,just not as ambitious as I once was.

As I approached seventy, it seemed to get worse, and although when I went for a check up nothing showed up as if there was anything wrong with my health, I just needed more sleep and the slightest stress completely wore me out.

On day my chiropractor mentioned something about adrenal fatigue, something I had never heard of. He explained that when people lead stressful lives, the adrenals are continuously pumping out adrenaline to compensate. The adrenals control every function in our body and can become overworked.

With the stresses in today’s world, where there is always some kind of crisis, sooner or later the adrenals rebel and just won’t supply all the adrenaline that is needed to maintain our bodies in a normal manner.  Soon we begin to feel tired, aches and pains begin to surface and other physical symptoms can appear. It can happen gradually, so many times we never even notice we aren’t feeling good, and there are no acute symptoms, so what’s to worry?

On our chiropractor’s recommendation, we stopped at the health food store and bought some adrenal support pills on the way home. I figured it couldn’t hurt anything and they were only twenty bucks.

It was the first of December, so it was time to put up the Christmas decorations. After taking two of the pills , I headed out the door to perform my duties. Much to my surprise, twenty minutes later , I began to feel much better! It was almost instantly, I could feel my legs and body begin to change, the tiredness I didn’t even know I had was disappearing, soon I was feeling better than I had for 30 years, more energy, no subtle pain in my back and legs , it seemed my sinuses and allergies were even getting better.

I never realized how bad I had felt the last several years, I began to feel like I had the energy of a thirty year old, procrastination went out the window. I now have the energy to do many things I have been wanting to do for years, but never seemed to find the time.

So much for doctors, it’s time we decided to chart our own course and determine what measures we need to take to take care of our own health and not let some bureaucrat in Washington do it.

Managing your own health

Many changes have taken place on the American health care scene.

No longer can we be assured that our health plan will be here tomorrow, or even our doctor, and if our doctor is still practicing, no longer can we be assured our health plan will cover the visits like they did just a few short weeks ago.

Like in many areas of our life, freedom of choice has disappeared for Americans. No longer can we drive down the street and pick out a doctor, our choice now has to be approved by some bureaucrat in Washington D.C.

Not only that, the level of care has diminished. Doctors are dropping out of the system, some hospitals will not participate in Obama Care, and many prescription drugs are no longer covered.

So, what are we to do? Everything has changed, so we must too. Luckily, my health is good and even though I’m approaching seventy years of age, I rarely see a doctor. I attribute that to not only good genes, but also trying to live a healthy lifestyle. My lifestyle probably isn’t perfect. I have never smoked, I have always gotten a fair amount of exercise, and drink very little. I am not and never will be a vegetarian, tried it, didn’t like it, besides that I need meat in my diet, just the way I am.

I became more health conscious when in my forties and there hasn’t been any sugar in my house since. I do eat ice cream, cake and other sweets occasionally, everything in moderation is my motto.

I have found that when I diet, I only crave what I’m not supposed to have all the more, and sooner or later I will fall off the wagon. By eating anything my body craves, but in smaller portions the need to indulge disappears.

With all the new health care rules, we can no longer choose which doctor to see and so on, and the times my wife or I have gone to the doctor, we often get a blank stare like they have no idea what the problem is or how to cure it. If the little piece of paper they get back from some sterile lab doesn’t tell them what to do, they are completely lost.

Doctors sometimes search for years to find the cure for some disease that they don’t even know exists. I have found that chiropractors and natural healers can perform more miracles than the most well educated professional doctor.

By performing some muscle testing and other exercises, many times the cause and cure can be determined. They still make your visit personal, something missing from conventional medicine. So many times in conventional medicine, you are herded into the office like cattle, quickly checked over and sent on your way with only a poisonous prescription.

My grandparents and parents all lived to be in their nineties, never went to a doctor and ate generous portions of eggs, fatty meats, especially bacon, and desserts, but they never had processed food in their diets.

When they did get sick, they fixed some herb from the woods and quickly began to feel better. I think they were on to something!

I believe we Americans have to once again declare our independence from government control. We have lost much in the last hundred years, we have put our whole life into the hands of government and large institutions that don’t care for us.

Many times their only objective is to make money and large amounts of it.There is nothing wrong with someone making money, or even a lot of money, but when that is the only objective then something is wrong.

The medical profession is out of control , and even though most doctors really do care about their patients, many times their hands are tied.

We need to once again put ourselves in charge of our medical needs, no one cares about you like you do, no one will take care of you like you will, no one else has as much too lose as you do.

I have declared my independence for the medical profession, I will still go for my annual checkup, only because I need to so my medicare will remain in force, but that’s as far as it goes., hopefully medicare will sooner or later wake up and cover alternative medicine. Maybe down the road I will need them for something, but unless I break a leg or something, I doubt it.

If you learn to listen to your body, it will tell you what it needs to stay healthy, and yes sometimes your body will tell you you  do need a hot fudge sundae.

I am now in control of my life, especially my health, not some bureaucrat in Washington D.C.

Will I die sooner, maybe, but I doubt it. Look how many people have been killed when they have undergone cancer treatment. Look how many people go into a hospital and die from an infection unrelated to what they where admitted for.

I am in control of my life, you know what? I feel better already.

Obamacare:Not for me

So, the long awaited socialized health care is finally here. The liberal’s dream has finally been fulfilled, now everyone will have free first class health care, we will all live long, happy, and prosperous lives with the government providing us with everything we could possibly need or want from cradle to grave.

Utopia has arrived! What more could we want?

But wait, there seems to be a fly in the ointment!

Things aren’t going as planned.

Who woulda thought, the bill wasn’t read by anyone who voted on it, no one knew what was in the bill, and it was crammed down the throats of people, the majority of which never wanted it, and the people voting for it never consulted with anyone else to see if there may be something more that could be added. How could anyone think something could go wrong under these circumstances?

In the early stages of the roll out , it has become a disaster, and things aren’t likely to change. With doctors shortages, high premiums, loss of benefits, waiting lines, and death panels on the horizon, what are our options?

Our once wonderful health care system is crumpling before our eyes. No longer will the United States have a health care system that is the envy of the world. Instead of tweaking a system that had a few problems, they have totally destroyed a system that eighty-five percent of the members were satisfied with. It will never be the same.

By making promises they couldn’t keep, our politicians have come close to destroying a way of life.

Our medical choices will now be made by a bureaucrat in Washington D.C. rather than by our doctors and ourselves. We no longer have a choice as to which doctor, hospital or medicine we take, it’s all decided by the pencil pushers in Washington, we are only a number.

What to do?

It’s time to take action, we ,each and every one of us needs to be in charge of our own health, it’s time to go off the grid as far as our health is concerned. Even before this, the medical profession has become all about the money and not about maintaining our health. For many years they haven’t wanted to cure anything, there is too much money in the medicine, they can’t afford for us to be healthy.

Look at all the money spent on advertising alone, money spent trying to talk us into needing a certain pill for a certain disease we probably don’t even have , or never will have. For example , look at all the current advertising trying to convince us to get a shingles vaccination. I’m sure shingles is painful and something I don’t want to get, but seriously, how many people do you know that have contracted shingles.

Look at all the kids that are autistic these days , some say one in a hundred, if you are over 50, did you know any autistic children when you were young? Could it be due to the vaccines we pumped into our children to prevent things like the measles. Think I would sooner have the measles than autism.

There is only one way around all of this. Each and every one of us needs to be in charge of our own health care. Myself, I am not going back to my doctor, there isn’t any reason to. He is discouraged by the whole scenario, he can no longer practice medicine the way he wants.

It’s time to go holistic, natural healing, getting plenty of exercise, eating the correct foods and listening to your body, it will tell you what it needs. My grandparents very seldom went to a doctor, ate bacon every morning, and lived to be 95 years old.

Study up on natural healing, eating healthy foods, and the proper consumption of vitamins and minerals, you know what you need more than any bureaucrat ever could.

Attracting What you want in Life

There are many ways to attract what you want into your life.

They all include ten key elements necessary to attract everything you could ever desire.

1.Be Clear, Clarity is probably the most important elements to attracting what you want. If your thoughts aren’t clear, how is the universe going to know what to give you? Make a list and include everything, look at it often and don’t forget to add to it or delete some items as your desires change slightly.

2.Be Open: Not only do you have to define what you want, you need to be open to change if the universe sends you something you would like more, sometimes we have a limited view of our options, if the universe gives you a better option, be open to accepting it.

3.Be willing, to observe, and release anything that no longer suits you. Sometimes we need to let go in order for something new to enter our lives.

4. Be Happy, God wants you to be happy, this opens the channel for more happiness to flow into your heart. The more you realize you deserve perfect joy, the more it will come to you.

5. Be Focused, stay focused on what is behind what you desire, if you focus on your motives rather than a specific goal, maybe the universe has a better idea on how you can achieve your goals.

6. Be expectant Always expect the best. Affirm that everything you desire will come your way. Energy flows toward where our attention is, if you focus on failure, that is what you will get.Focus on success and guess what, it will come.

7. Be Energetic, the higher the vibration, the more energy is attracted to it. Let your passion be your guide and dream for the moon.

8. Be Positive If you are negative, the universe will interpret it as something you don’t want.

9.Be True is the same as being honest. You have to be honest with yourself as to what you really want.

10. Be Grateful , this is perhaps the most important key. It is the activating force God can’t deny. When you are truly grateful, God wants to give you more. Be grateful for every gift from God regardless of how small it is.

Practice these ten principles and God will give you all your heart’s desires.

Think About What You Want

What counts now is not just what we are against, but what we are for. Who leads us is less important than what leads us-what convictions, what courage, what faith-win or lose. A man doesn’t save a century, or a civilization, but a militant party wedded to a principal can. Adlai Stevenson.

Adlai Stevenson was a man who in his time, who in my opinion, would have made a horrible president. Obviously , many thought as I did, the man lost in a  landslide when he ran against Dwight Eisenhower in 1952.

In spite of this, the man  has made some brilliant,  memorable and lasting quotes, many of which have stood the test of time.

This quote of his exemplifies what we as Americans need to understand in today’s volatile political world climate. Too many people on the conservative side  are concentrating on what they don’t want instead of what they want, they are being driven by fear. Therefore they are bringing what they don’t want into fruition. As we think we reap.

Combine this with the left concentrating on what they want and you have a recipe for disaster. Both groups are materializing the same thing.

While who leads us as a nation is important , by thinking about what we want , that thinking will give us a good leader in contrast of always thinking negative.

In  order to get the country out of this mess we are in and return to sensibility, the solution is simple.

thinking

What can we do?

There are still many more conservatives than liberals in the country, if the conservatives would simply realize this simple fact and start focusing on what they want, soon their thoughts would out weigh the influences from the other side and we could return to something to would resemble common sense.

Maybe some people would better serve their country if they stayed out of politics and stuck to what they do best. It takes a certain breed of person to  understand what best works in the world arena. Some are destined to make the observations, others are destined to carry them out. Very seldom is it the same person.

As we begin this new year, let us begin to focus on what we want and how we can accomplish that. Let’s leave the negativity behind just as we left 2013 behind.

Remember, we always receive what we focus on.
