What Would the Founding Fathers Do?

Sell Art Online

I have often heard it said by  various individuals they hoped if there was such a  thing as reincarnation, that the founding fathers would come back and save us from ourselves.

They did such a good job forming our country many think they should come back and straighten out the mess we’ve gotten ourselves into. .

What would you do if you were a founding father?

Would you come back to do it all again? Would you suffer through the hardships of Valley Forge, or endure the long hours spent hammering out a constitution and Bill of Rights that no one seems to care about anymore?

Would you  spend your fortunes, risk losing everything you have, subject your families to certain death and poverty as they once did?

Not me, if I had gone through what they did and sacrificed what they did, I would say, “no way Jose”.

I did it once, now it is your turn. I did my part, if you want freedom, it is your turn to step up to the plate and fight for it like we did. I would tell them what my parents told me when I messed up. “You were smart enough to get into this mess, I’m sure you are smart enough to get yourself out of it”

I’ll be on the beach in Bimini, send me an email, I’ll be willing to give advice if you want it. But you have to do it yourself.

Agenda 21:The Path to Destruction

Sell Art Online

Written by :Gary Wonning

I remember being about five years old and looking out over the distant cornfields of Indiana and thinking how the early twenty-first century was going to be a tough period of time.

This was in the 1950s and at that point in time and only being a small child, the 21st century seemed  far off and  something that would never happen.

As life went on, the thought occasionally entered my mind but I largely ignored it. Then once again I was reminded of the warning by a psychic I had become acquainted with. She told me of the dangers that were coming and blamed most of the approaching trouble because Americans had fallen way from their beliefs and also how the young were being raised and taught.

I could see trouble with our society, but in reality , I had no idea what was coming or what it all meant. She told me it was going to turn out alright, but I should stay out of the big cities, there was going to be much violence and rioting. After  reminding me  I should never forget where I came from, I never saw her again.

The problems our country and world face didn’t come about over night. Even though with our present administration has taken them to a new level and the car is now in overdrive, the problems began many years ago in the 1960s. The civil unrest and radical movement took on a whole new dimension and several of the radicals of that era are now in high levels of government dictating what course we should all take in our daily lives.

Never before has our government been so dictatorial in its operation, add to that the actions of the UN and we have a recipe for disaster.

The rapid growth of the federal government and their quenching thrust for power has placed all our freedoms in jeopardy. It isn’t just one political party that is guilty,  though obviously the liberals are more at fault than anyone. They are promoting the agenda and the GOP is mindlessly following  their lead. The Pied Piper is leading us all over the cliff.

Regardless of political party, the “Establishment” politicians are all following into lock step behind this agenda. Most no longer believe the American citizen no longer has the right or intelligence to chart their own course in life. This has filtered up to the United Nations and there is a full scale attempt by that organization to run our lives and dictate what we can and can’t do, what we can eat, and control every other aspect of our lives.

I’m sure you have noticed how cozy our last four presidents have become with each other, that is no accident. They were basically all educated in the same universities under the same liberal agenda. They all think the same, and their way of thinking isn’t in our best interest.

Politics has taken on a whole new agenda, just this week and operative of the present administration proudly stated how during the 2008 campaign the democrats were horrified of Sarah Palin because of the speech she gave.  They knew if they didn’t do something her message would resonate with millions , so they sought to destroy her and her family by spreading falsehoods and deceit. It worked, most people believed the lies and even though she has much influence today, the mainstream media is so anti Palin they actually rejoice when members of her family are put into danger.

What happened to equality? It seems like the war on women is coming from the liberal side of the isle.

The the top of this list is AGENDA 21.

you owe it to yourself to listen to this video, it will become the most important twenty minutes of your life. Our freedoms are slipping away, in fact they aren’t slipping away, they are leaving at supersonic speed.

If you value freedom and our way of life, now is the time to become active, every effort, large or small is important and can change the direction we are headed. The future looks bleak, but it can be changed and it ain’t over till its over.

George Koritzer

There is an extreme shortage of common sense in today’s world, When looking back in history, I soon discovered this has always been a problem, Benjamin Franklin once said, ”Of all the senses, common sense seems to be the one that is used the least.” As obvious as it may seem, many seem to be totally oblivious to it. Most, if not all of the problems the world faces today could be solved if people would just sit back and think about what would seem to be the most obvious and simple solution to any issue. Often times people tend to overcomplicate the issues. I often think back to what my parents and grandparents believed and said, at the time I thought they were totally out of their mind and ignored it.

The Separation of Church and State

People are continuously saying that in the United States, we need to keep church and state separate.

In many instances this is true, we certainly don’t need a country where everything is decided by a church or our whole government is run by a religious figure. The founding fathers took many measures to insure that  wouldn’t happen. They saw what had come about in Europe because of those issue, and were determined to not let that happen here.

However, that doesn’t mean we should shut God or religion completely out of government. We are seeing first hand what becoming a secular government has done for our country. In the last several years, we have abandoned the basic principles of decency and common sense that made our country great.

We no longer adhere to the universal laws that our founders based our constitution and bill of rights on. Our founders were deeply concerned this could happen.

Our constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence rank right up there with the Holy Bible and the Magna Carta as sacred documents. If followed, they guarantee rights and freedoms unparalleled in human history.

Although we don’t need or want a country governed by a religious zealot, we do need a president who believes in a supreme being, or God.It is essential, If one doesn’t believe in God, they naturally believe in government.

Our rights as humans come from God, no government should have authority over us. We have power over government , we are the ones telling them what to do not the opposite as is happening in today’s world.

It is important we get back on the right track.

church and state

There has been much debate over the years about what the founding fathers meant about the separation of church and state. In recent times there has been much disinformation about how they actually believed, especially George Washington. In this short Ebook the author tries to explain how they actually felt.

George Washington, Obama and Divine Intervention

Written by :Gary Wonning

Over the course of my life I have come to understand more and more how much
George Washington, the principle force behind the founding of the United
States of America believed in divine intervention. I have heard and
read about the instances where he was shot at point blank range and
remained unharmed. In one particular battle, during the French and
Indian War, he sustained three bullet holes in his jacket and one in his
hat and suffered no wounds.

His  explanation could only be there was an intervention of a higher power
that saved him from harm, thus enabling him to continue to press on for
freedom and our way of life. Most if not all of  our founding fathers
professed a belief in a Divine Source or God. The Declaration of
Independence and our constitution also point to a belief in God, a
believe our laws come from God, not government. This was a new thought
at the time and a thought that many today still have a hard time
comprehending.

Too many people today are still looking for a savior, or someone to do
everything for them, thus relieving them of any responsibility for their
lives. It would be nice if it worked this way, but it doesn’t. Because
of the advances in our society over the last several years, and the
“free stuff” provided to us by either our employment or government, many
people have developed an entitlement mentality. They believe they are
entitled to everything and it is free.

Nothing could be further from the truth, nothing is free, someone has to pay
for whatever it is we have, either we or someone else has paid for it,
there are no free lunches. In today’s world , politicians get elected
based on how much free stuff they can give their constituents, while
soaking the taxpayer for the costs.

People only look at what they are getting, never realizing how much it costs,
or how much they themselves are paying for “pork” in another area of the
country , which they receive no benefit whatsoever. No time in history
has this been more obvious than in the 2008 election, class warfare
became the battle cry, a Robin Hood mentality arose with many thinking
the rich would and could pay for everything.

Nothing could be further from the truth, in  most cases, the wealthy have
worked hard and sacrificed much to obtain what they have, why should
they be taxed to death to give to someone who is unwilling to work and
sacrifice like they have? Would you want to do that?

The original idea of an income tax was sold through the concept that only
the rich would pay, how did that work out? We all pay, regardless of how
it is presented to us. Hopefully the election of 2008 has shown the
American people how bad things can get when everyone only votes for the
candidate that promises to give the most free stuff. 2008 isn’t the only
example of how the entitlement programs don’t work, but I believe it is
the most blatant example of how things can run amok.

Many tried to warn us of what was happening ,but few listened.People were so
enamored with electing a minority  and his promise of equality, that
his many questionable policies and personal relationships were grossly
overlooked. No one asked about his past associations for fear of
reprisal or being called a racist.

Hopefully enough people have learned a lesson, leaders should be elected on their
ability to lead, and not based on , race, religion, creed, or national
origin, they must and need to be natural born citizens, and a
requirement should also be that they grew up in the United States, so
they know what America is all about.

Both political parties are guilty, one more so than the other , but we need
to clean both houses to form a more perfect union. It almost seemed like
divine intervention the way the election process turned out.

.
Perhaps there was a little divine intervention,  so that we may learn
from our  actions of the last 50 years. Sometimes things have to get
really bad before they can get better. Hopefully we have reached a low
point, and citizens will start paying attention and electing leaders who
have some values and have the countries best interest at heart,  not
their own personal agenda.

A narrative about what life in The United States was in our golden era, and how it became what it is, and offering solutions to enable us to once again travel the path to freedom and self reliance.

The Need for the Second Amendment

Since
the beginning of our country, the second amendment has continuously
been under fire. There are always going to be people who think the
private citizen shouldn’t have guns and be allowed to defend themselves.
As much as they are entitled to their own opinion, they are erroneous
in their thinking.

They
believe a well regulated militia is something akin to our National
Guard, and this militia is the one chosen to protect us. Even though the
National Guard’s objective is to protect the citizenry, in the days of
our founding, every male citizen was a part of the militia and as a
result it was the private citizen who had the right to bear arms. Any
one thinks about it rationally realizes that living in a society where
only government employees have guns  would not be a good thing. This
thinking displays no distrust of our military, but shows a knowledge of
how thinking of this kind could lead to disaster.

Our
right to bear arms is one of our basic rights, it insures our freedom,
the first thing an oppressive government does is take away the arms of
it’s people, thereby rendering them defenseless. The government can then
do whatever it wants without fear of reprisal.

Even
under the most ideal circumstances , we really can’t depend on the
government for our personal protection. As well meaning and efficient as
the local law enforcement authorities may be , they simply can’t be
every place at the same time.

Suppose someone breaks into your house, in almost every case it is
going to take the law enforcement officers at least ten minutes to
arrive at your humble abode, what are you going to do in the mean time,
sit down and have tea and crumpets with your intruder?

This
is something most people never think about and rightfully so, it is
something many  people don’t like to face. No one wants to confront a
criminal, it is much easier for some one else to do it for us. The
problem is , in most cases, there is no one else. If we don’t do it, no
one will, and people we know and love , including ourselves can wind up
hurt or killed.

This
doesn’t sound like a very good option to me. Ask the career criminal
what they most fear, the number one fear is the homeowner having a
firearm, the second fear is a dog, and the third fear is they may call
the police.  Calling the police is way down the list as the criminal
knows that by the time the police arrive, the chances are pretty good ,
they will be long gone.

Many
times the homeowner will have a small sign stating they have one of the
major security systems installed when they really don’t , all they have
is a sign. I think an even better sign would be stating ,”This property
insured by Smith and Wesson.” This would deter even more crime. Most
times the weapon never has to be used , most criminal are cowards, the
threat is more than enough to drive them away.

Valley Forge The Transformation

Valley Forge: The Transformation

Probably no place in history transformed our young Continental Army more than Valley Forge. No battle or major conflict was ever fought here, however from December 19th, 1777 until June 19th 1778, our young army along with it’s Commander General Washington faced a struggle with low moral, extreme winter hardship, lack of food, disease, and no pay to emerge as a fighting force intent on seeing the battle for independence through to it’s ultimate conclusion.

It led General Washington to state,”Naked and starving as they are we cannot enough admire the incomparable patience and fidelity of the soldiery.”

“Let it be told to the future world, that in the depth of winter,
when nothing but hope and virtue could survive, that the city and the
country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet and to repulse
it.” The Crisis, by Thomas Paine.

Not all survived, many deserted and some froze or starved to death. Up until this time the young army had few if any solid victories, mostly they were retreating, hoping to gain an advantage somewhere or somehow where the enemy could be defeated.Hope ran eternal, that is about all they had, only problem is , you can’t eat Hope.

Solidly beaten and weary, they set about the task of building quarters for the winter. You have all heard the saying, we have a room for you, but you’ll have to make your own bed, well, they had to make their room also. Gathering the materials to construct housing during the harsh Pennsylvania winter had to be trying to the the soul.

The ground hog must have not seen his shadow, because by February the weather improved from horrible to just plain miserable. With the coming of spring, conditions improved, food and supplies became more readily available, and the plot to remove Washington from command dissipated, France had joined our cause and the troops become better trained and combat ready.

What brought about this transformation? Why did an army that was down and out, with no logical reason as to how they could continue on, much less fight and win over a more powerful and well trained British Army. How did they  suddenly emerge into a force to be reckoned with?

They realized they were committed! The men and women who were there, (yes there were women there, providing aid and comfort to the soldiers,) they realized how much they had invested, there was no turning back. Once an individual or group of individuals totally commit to a cause,(and the cause is just) the Gods join in and it is just a matter of time until the goal in question is achieved. Sure there is still hardship and some will be injured or even killed, but if the cause is just , no one dies in vain. It is only when good men do nothing that the battle is lost.

Divine Intervention, How it Plays in our life

When we stop and think about our life and how one events naturally leads to other events in our life, and how our lives would have turned out quite differently if certain so-called uncontrollable and unwanted situations hadn’t happened. We begin to realize there is an unseen force at work , that if we only listen and trust ,they will make our life easier, more enjoyable, and help us realize our true purpose.

We all have these situations, however I will use an example from American history  that we are all familiar with to illustrate my point.

Early in life George Washington , being a surveyor , surveyed vast amounts of what was then the American west, this and the fact he fought in the French and Indian War gave him vast knowledge that no doubt aided him greatly in our struggle for independence.

During this war , Washington reported he was fired at from close range by an adversary. He attributed the fact that he wasn’t killed to Divine Intervention.

During his life , he also gave credit to divine intervention for several other events that could have lead to his untimely death.

The most interesting string of events were the facts surrounding members of his family and his only travel out side the young country. Due to death’s in his family, he inherited large plantations , one of which was later called Mount Vernon. This gave him  large political clout and a  finanacial reserve to operate with, in part enabling him to serve his country all his adult life.

In 1751, he traveled to Barbados in an effort to save his dying brother who was suffering from Tuberculous. It was thought the climate there would be favorable to it’s cure. While in Barbados, Washington contracted small pox which has an extremely high fatality rate.

Due to the excellent medical facilities in Barbados at the time , a talented doctor cured him and he was able to return to America. Lawrence passed away the following year and George inherited Mount Vernon as a result.

Not only was young Washington cured of small pox, but while In Barbados,he learned much about building strong coastline defenses and as many Barbadians were also extremely knowledgeable in creating a more democratic type of government than the world had previously known, many discussions were thus entertained. Several Barbadian citizens were very instrumental in the formation of the United States Government.

The fact that Washington had been exposed to small pox and cured ,made him immune. When a small pox epidemic broke out during the American Revolution, General Washington was able to survive and lead our troops to victory.

There is probably something to be said for destiny , and that needs to be taken into consideration, however , if  Washington hadn’t believed in Divine Intervention and the existence of a supreme power , he wouldn’t have had the faith to trust the events happening around him to be of a Grand Design. It is very likely our country wouldn’t be what it is today.
