Moving on

I have decided to change course a bit. For the last several years, I have been writing four different blogs. I have enjoyed it and it has been fun, but it is extremely difficult to keep up with all four.

I have decided to consolidate three into one.

This blog will close on October 31,2015.

You will be able to follow me at http://www.floridahoosier.com.

I hope to see you there, it’s been fun and I’ll see you at: http://www.Floridahoosier.com.

If you have an interest in the paranormal esoteric side of life I have a blog at, http://www.manymanyworlds.com, that you may have an interest in.

Thanks again:

Gary

baby boomers

Each generation from the beginning of our country has contributed to what our country has become. By the same token, no one is perfect. Consequently, each generation has done and will continue to perform acts that it would have been better if some other course of action was taken.
The baby boomers have contributed much and have been blamed for the decline of America. What is the true story?

Be Who You Really Are

It’s much easier to not know things sometimes.

Things change and friends leave. And life doesn’t stop for anybody.

I wanted to laugh. Or maybe get mad. Or maybe shrug at how strange everybody was, especially me.

I think the idea is that every person has to live for his or her own life and then make the choice to share it with other people.

You can’t just sit there and put everybody’s lives ahead of yours and think that counts as love.

And we could all sit around and wonder and feel bad about each other and blame a lot of people for what they did or didn’t do or what they didn’t know. You just can’t. You have to do things.

I’m going to do what I want to do. I’m going to be who I really am. And I’m going to figure out what that is.

Maybe it’s good to put things in perspective, but sometimes, I think that the only perspective is to really be there. Because it’s okay to feel things. I was really there.

And that was enough to make me feel infinite. I feel infinite.

young living

George Koritzer

There is an extreme shortage of common sense in today’s world, When looking back in history, I soon discovered this has always been a problem, Benjamin Franklin once said, ”Of all the senses, common sense seems to be the one that is used the least.” As obvious as it may seem, many seem to be totally oblivious to it. Most, if not all of the problems the world faces today could be solved if people would just sit back and think about what would seem to be the most obvious and simple solution to any issue. Often times people tend to overcomplicate the issues. I often think back to what my parents and grandparents believed and said, at the time I thought they were totally out of their mind and ignored it. I now wish I would have listened and followed their advice. It is now evident they were a lot smarter than we gave them credit for. Many times, in today’s world, the schools and universities can no longer be counted on to teach truth and values that will guide someone through life.

A Complete and Balanced LIfe

 Found this somewhere

“I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible; to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise.  I choose to risk my significance, to live so that which came to me as seed goes to the next as blossom, and that which came to me as blossom goes on as fruit.”

Dawna Markova

Re-read the above quote, then close your eyes for a moment and imagine this it’s you speaking the words.  Imagine it’s the kind of life YOU chose. What comes up for you?  Do you feel inspired?  Do you feel like it could never happen?

In the years I’ve been coaching I’ve found there to be some essential qualities of people who live a complete and balanced life:

They firmly believe their success is more about who they are, rather than just what they have or what they do.

  1. They’re clear about their values and what’s most important to them.
  2. They have a vision for their life.
  3. They’re willing to take clear and focused action to fulfill that vision.
  4. They hold themselves responsible for the quality of their life.

Living a full and balanced life starts with knowing what a full and balanced life means to you.  Each day, we are bombarded with images from the media that tell us who to be, what to do and how to act.  We are saturated with “shoulds,” past experiences, family edicts and endlessly disempowering messages.

So the first step in claiming a complete life is to embrace the distinction that Oprah makes quite succinctly,  “Don’t worry about living THE best life, just live YOUR best life.”

Here are some suggestions I give my clients to help them begin the journey toward living their best life.

 1. Start a journal.  One of the best ways I know to quiet the mind and access your deeper thoughts is to write.  Let yourself write in an uncensored way.  Let your thoughts flow without concern for grammar or impressing a reader.  Be curious about what your inner self wants to tell you.

Here’s a series of provocative questions to help start the journey:

What will my life feel/be like when I’m living fully and in balance?  Here’s where you imagine in detail the life you want.  Let yourself dream about how you’ll feel.  Will you feel peaceful?  Energized?  Both?  Will you be fulfilling a dream or simply living fully in each moment?  Paint a picture for yourself.

What’s most important to me?  Begin to make a list of your values.  Your values are your personal inventory of what you consider most important.  We all have values, but unless you take the time to clarify them for yourself, you can inadvertently be living someone else’s values.  Your values inform the choices you make.

2. Get to know yourself.  Walk, meditate, exercise, or take yourself on a date.  Getting to know yourself and what you like is an important piece of the puzzle.  What movie would YOU chose?  Is nature most enlivening or would you prefer a cultural romp in the city?  Do something you’ve always wanted to try.  Take a risk.  To live a complete life you have to be in touch with what makes you happy.

3. Find support.  It can be difficult to explore or make life changes without the benefit of a support system.  Often, when people start to grow, others around them – friends and relatives – may feel threatened.  They may not want you to “rock the boat.” Seek out at least one person you feel safe sharing your desires with.  This will help you to stay motivated and provide some accountability.

4. Take action.  Inspiration without action is like being dressed up and having nowhere to go.  Take some baby steps.  Ask yourself:  “what’s one thing I can do this week to feel great about my life?”  Then do it.

What does a complete and balanced life mean to you?  I’d love to hear your thoughts and what you discover.  It’s truly possible.  You can love your lifeand watch the seeds turn to blossoms and the blossoms turn to fruit.

It’s YOUR life. . . live it completely!

Enlightenment

At this period of time in the history of man, there is probably more individual searching being done into the theories behind the origin of the human race, what happens after death, the possibility of life on other planets, and what our relationship is to these life forms, if they do exist.

There are millions of people who are questioning the existence of God, who he really is, and what is my relationship with him? Is he someone who mysteriously floats around on a cloud watching and judging us from above like some bigger than life Santa Claus, or is he, like many of the esoteric sciences claim, a part of our inner Self, whom we have constant contact with, someone whom we and everything in the universe are connected and are thus one? Each of us in our own way is experiencing what God is, and thus we are each a part of God, thus we are God!

This book is a brief account of my search for my own truth as I know it today, everything stated actually happened, according to my own perception.

It has been an exciting search,at times very frustrating, very rewarding, and above all, very fulfilling.

My main purpose in writing this book is to show that anyone, even a bashful unfamous country boy can have these awakenings, you don’t have to be rich or well-known to find your connection to Divine Source.

I began taking notes for this book over thirty years ago, at the time, writing a book was the farthest thing from my mind. My only thought was to have a journal to read over when I got older.

As a result, I didn’t record some of my references, many of the references were from Aboriginal and Mayan elders themselves, many of which has been the victim of the ravages of time. Hence my book is short on references, but long on experience, I hope you understand.

My Books are available in both Hard Copy and Ebook format.

Government Benefits

In today’s world many people think someone owes them something. Many seem to think money grows on trees and if the government pays for something ,it doesn’t cost anything and no one has to pay for it.

As a result they believe everything a bureaucrat tells them and  some how believe a politician actually has their welfare in mind and actually cares about them. After all these years of broken promises and many times outright lies, I’m not sure how anyone can actually believe it when a politician who is running for public offices tells you they have your best interests in mind.

Don’t ever think the government is doing something for you, they aren’t. They only have their own interests in mind, their only concern is getting reelected again.

Why would you want to give someone else the opportunity  to spend your hard earned money? Do you think they are smarter than you and do you actually believe they know more about what you want or need than you do?

Would you go into a restaurant and give the waiter your wallet and tell him to just bring you something, and in the process, take out as much as they want for a tip?

Of course you wouldn’t , so why do you turn control of your finances over to a far off bureaucrat in a hideen office in Washington D.C.?

In reality, there is no such thing as a government benefit, it is just a transfer of money from one person to another, with a tithe going to someone we don’t know, someone some people think as  a god, nothing could be farther from the truth.

It benefits no one but them.

Our Biggest Fear

Our Biggest Fear

Think back for a moment , back to the times in your life when you experienced fear. Think about the things you fear the most.

Was it a monster in the closet when you were four? Was the possibility of losing a job when you were an adult and had a family to support, or losing your life in an accident or some serious disease?

There is some thing you fear even more. If you are an average human , the one thing you fear the most. This is what is holding you back from achieving your highest potential in life.

You fear being successful. You fear you are inadequate and undeserving. You have nurtured this fear through many lifetimes and have come to enjoy the feeling it brings, as well as the excuse it offers , you have fallen in love with the emotion.

It is far easier to find an excuse for not succeeding and let someone else take responsibility for your life, than it is to  assume full responsibility for your life and admit there are no excuses.

By feeling inadequate, you are given a reason to not succeed. In your subconscious mind you have convinced yourself you don’t deserve success, and you fear what success will do to the life you lead. The life you have become comfortable with.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond what we can imagine. That is what frightens us. Realizing we are that powerful, we nullify any excuse we can conjure up, and realize that there isn’t anyone responsible for our life but us.

God30x22

Beautiful Wall Print!

By discovering how powerful we may be frightens us. Often times we think we may be treading on God’s territory, maybe becoming like him or taking his place. We become afraid he will be mad and bring his vengeance down upon us and make bad things happen, maybe turn us into a pillar of salt.

This could not be farther from the truth,God wants us to be powerful. Our mission on earth is to discover the power within, our God Force. We were born to manifest our glory, as we do, others are able to manifest their highest good also.

As we travel through life, we create what we experience, either consciously or subconsciously. The older we get , the more we realize that what we have desired, we have received. Many times it takes a lot of soul searching to come to this realization.

The next step is to realize we can consciously control our reality and future by our thoughts. Once we learn to control our destiny, we move above karma and are free to continue our soul growth in a more positive way.

No excuses.

The Path of Least Resistance

To
me, water can be an excellent example of how we should live our
lives. From the time the raindrops first land on the earth, they begin
their journey to their final destination, the sea, water follows the path
of least resistance.

It has become the most powerful force on earth by
following that simple precept. In most cases, water doesn’t force it’s
way into any environment. It just goes with the flow , silently seeking
it’s path by meandering and winding down life’s path ,thus seeking it’s
destination by following the path of least resistance.

Many
find driving to be stressful, however during my life I have driven
several million miles. In most cases I have found drivers also follow
the path of least resistance. As they weave their way through traffic,
drivers are continuously following the path by changing lanes and going
where no other motorists are impeding their travel. Some become
impatient and try to force the situation by aggressive behaviour, but
for the most part, the motorists are just trying to reach their final
destination by following the easiest and most efficient path. They have
become like the water, meandering their way through life, following a
plan, but altering it to compensate for changing conditions.

I
have found most successful people also follow the same theory, they all
sooner or later learn to go with the flow and let the universe or God
lead them. They don’t abandon their life dreams or give up when to going
gets tough,  many times none of the paths are easy, but they continue
on by facing their challenges head on , and sooner or later they will
arrive at the summit of their life dreams.

The
most important part of the journey is the path  we take, where we learn
how to face roadblocks and obstructions to our destination, by them we
learn many lessons that are beneficial to our well being and evolution
as a human being. It has been often said the journey is more important
than the destination, I feel this is true. The destination is our reward
for not succumbing to all the trials and hardships we encountered along
the way.

Just
as water continues on it’s journey to the sea, and motorists reach
their desired domicile so can we reach our ultimate destination , by
having a plan, sticking to it, but altering  it to reflect current and
changing situations and following our instincts in finding the best,
quickest and most beneficial roadway to our fulfillment.

Life’s Journey and Inner Guidance

It
is often said that to arrive at your proper destination , you have to
know where you are going. While this may be true in many cases, in the
journey of life, it isn’t always true.

While
one does need a basic plan for your life, most life is  made up as we
go. I had my whole life planned out when I was 21, I am now approaching
the late 60s and I still haven’t done most of what I had planned or
assumed my life would be like. As I look back, I assumed life would be
like everyone else I knew, fairly normal and mundane. It didn’t turn out
that way and quite frankly, I would have been pretty bored if it had.

Inspiration
Although
I envy those who have a so called normal life, I realize they have
never had the opportunity to experience half of what I have.  Boredom
has never been an issue. Having said that, I whole heartily believe that
when it comes to life, you need to plan as you go.

Often
times when making life changing decisions we need to rely on inner
guidance, that little voice we all need to listen to more often. It has a
habit of laying out our best course of action a little bit at a time,
not one big lump sum at the tender age of 21 when we think we know
everything, when in actuality , we know very little.

The
Australian Aborigines believe they “dream” something up, before it
actually happens, therefore , when the event comes to pass, they already
know the correct course to follow. They believe their dreams are a
precursor to actual events, even if they don’t actually remember the
particular dream , they believe it is in their subconscious and is there
for remembering at the proper time.

I’m
sure we can all remember thinking certain thoughts or even making
certain statements in our mind, and then actually relaying this
information to someone during our normal waking day. This in my opinion
is what the aborigines are talking about. We are “dreaming” it up,
storing it in our subconscious and then using it at the proper time.

As
we travel down life’s journey, the are many  paths to follow, some will
only be for a short time, while many others could be for a lifetime.
Just as we get in a car and travel to a distant city, we will drive on
many different roads, so is the journey of life so traveled. We travel
many paths and we may not know where we are going, but we will know when
we have arrived.

Now, Follow me on Kindle.
