Moving on

I have decided to change course a bit. For the last several years, I have been writing four different blogs. I have enjoyed it and it has been fun, but it is extremely difficult to keep up with all four.

I have decided to consolidate three into one.

This blog will close on October 31,2015.

You will be able to follow me at http://www.floridahoosier.com.

I hope to see you there, it’s been fun and I’ll see you at: http://www.Floridahoosier.com.

If you have an interest in the paranormal esoteric side of life I have a blog at, http://www.manymanyworlds.com, that you may have an interest in.

Thanks again:

Gary

baby boomers

Each generation from the beginning of our country has contributed to what our country has become. By the same token, no one is perfect. Consequently, each generation has done and will continue to perform acts that it would have been better if some other course of action was taken.
The baby boomers have contributed much and have been blamed for the decline of America. What is the true story?

Be Who You Really Are

Art Prints

It’s much easier to not know things sometimes.

Things change and friends leave. And life doesn’t stop for anybody.

I wanted to laugh. Or maybe get mad. Or maybe shrug at how strange everybody was, especially me.

I think the idea is that every person has to live for his or her own life and then make the choice to share it with other people.

You can’t just sit there and put everybody’s lives ahead of yours and think that counts as love.

And we could all sit around and wonder and feel bad about each other and blame a lot of people for what they did or didn’t do or what they didn’t know. You just can’t. You have to do things.

I’m going to do what I want to do. I’m going to be who I really am. And I’m going to figure out what that is.

Maybe it’s good to put things in perspective, but sometimes, I think that the only perspective is to really be there. Because it’s okay to feel things. I was really there.

And that was enough to make me feel infinite. I feel infinite.

There is an extreme shortage of common sense in today’s world, When looking back in history, I soon discovered this has always been a problem, Benjamin Franklin once said, ”Of all the senses, common sense seems to be the one that is used the least.” As obvious as it may seem, many seem to be totally oblivious to it. Most, if not all of the problems the world faces today could be solved if people would just sit back and think about what would seem to be the most obvious and simple solution to any issue. Often times people tend to overcomplicate the issues. I often think back to what my parents and grandparents believed and said, at the time I thought they were totally out of their mind and ignored it. I now wish I would have listened and followed their advice. It is now evident they were a lot smarter than we gave them credit for. Many times, in today’s world, the schools and universities can no longer be counted on to teach truth and values that will guide someone through life.

Communism on the Installment Plan

An extremely good article on why we can’t coexist with the left. This writer is corect.

WHY THERE CAN BE NO COEXISTENCE WITH THE LEFT

Exclusive: Erik Rush advises liberty-lovers to adopt same goal as their adversaries

Read more at http://www.wnd.com/2015/06/why-there-can-be-no-coexistence-with-the-left/#YC1t9MGWPbX4hWKR.99

Assuming they can take a break from bitterly clinging to their guns and religion for a few minutes, I’m going to set a bona fide goal for those liberty-loving Americans out there with a passion for our founding principles and the Constitution. What may surprise some in that camp is that it’s the very same goal toward which those on the political left strive.

At first blush, some of these patriots – perhaps many – will find this goal rhetorically indelicate, if not undemocratic, or even (dare I say it?) – “extreme.”

By the time they’re done reading this, however, I would hope that they perceive the dangerous folly in such thinking.

The goal is simple, and it is as follows: We must utterly vanquish the political opponents we currently face. One can see why I said it’s identical to the ultimate goal of the left, and why they never articulate it openly. While they espouse love of country, liberty, the democratic process and say they believe we have as much of a right to our ideals and beliefs as they do theirs, these are patent deceptions.

Time and again, their actions make it abundantly clear that they intend to eradicate our ideals and beliefs if at all possible.

So, as contrary to our model of government and collective conscience as this may sound, utterly neutralizing the left (completely disenfranchising those who ascribe to leftist doctrine and dismantling all of their established political, cultural and legal constructs) is an imperative because they never had any intention of coexisting with those of differing ideologies.

A key difference between us and the political left is that we’ve always been here, but they have not. What I mean by this is that throughout the history of our nation, the intentions of the governed and those who rose to govern were fairly closely aligned. There were instances of major divergence – such as those who wound up at odds over slavery or the right of women to vote – but principally, we had somewhat differing means to generally the same ends.

Though the left-right paradigm with which contemporary Americans were raised has come to mean less and less (because so many politicians advance leftist policies regardless of political party), we do need to bear in mind that it is a very recent political model.

The reason politicians have perpetuated the observance of this left-right archetype in recent years is because it became eminently useful to them in manipulating the electorate – and this means big-government closet socialists like many prominent Republicans have demonstrated themselves to be, as well as outright communists like Barack Obama and his co-conspirators.

The core truth is that the ideology, motives and methods of the left are manifestly evil, and always have been.

I don’t know if I coined the phrase in relation to liberalism being “communism on the installment plan,” but I don’t know of anyone else who uses it. Whoever gets the credit, I believe it is an accurate statement because not only has liberalism itself changed incrementally over the last several decades, it has also managed to subvert those occupying other nodes along the political continuum.

This is because liberalism (as opposed to early 20th-century progressivism) has always been driven by hardcore communists. Because they are intrinsically diabolical, they misrepresent their intentions, then foment division, hatred and civil unrest. Finally, they institutionalize injustice, oppressing and terrorizing the governed, illegally appropriating the fruits of their labors and making atrocity commonplace.

This is why in 1983, President Ronald Reagan referred to the Soviet Union as an “evil empire.” It wasn’t a case of baseless name-calling.

With the end of the Cold War, many Americans presumed that the struggle against communism was over. I’m not sure why, since potent communistic influences remained in the world. In any event, I seriously doubt that in the early 1990s many conservatives could have imagined a Marxist-Leninist cabal calling the shots in our nation’s capital less than 20 years hence.

The empirical evidence demonstrates that liberalism inevitably morphs into communism (oligarchical collectivist totalitarianism). Whether it comes about quickly through revolution or slowly through attrition doesn’t matter much in the end.

Thus, liberalism is fundamentally just as malignant as communism – which we should have been able to ascertain, given that its effects over the last 50 years included increasing moral ambivalence, escalating levels of corruption in government and business sectors, class warfare, dissolution of the family (including high rates of divorce and illegitimate births), loss of reverence for the sanctity of life, rampant drug use, antipathy for the nation itself and transposition of the very concepts of good and evil.

And those only represent the evidence of America’s domestic deterioration.

I hope this has sufficiently illustrated that the liberal-embryonic-communist wholesale destroyers of everything good and decent have not always been among us. Those who follow evil dictates have always been among us, but never before in America have we seen a faction bent on pernicious societal nihilism achieve enduring influence and political power.

Those who are generally peaceful, industrious and generous, who would prefer to mind their own business as they pursue life, liberty and happiness have always been here. Actually, they are most people. Knowledge of this truth is what motivated our nation’s founders to so inextricably enshrine the concepts of individual liberty and Natural Law into its founding documents.

The Fourth of July 1776

Sell Art Online

Written By : Gary Wonning

July 4th, 1776 is one of the most important  days in human history. The signing of the American   Declaration of Independence, one of the most precious documents since the beginning of time ushered in a new Era in the history of man.

Never before had a nation been created where mankind could worship, believe, and act as he so desired as long as he didn’t infringe upon the rights of others.

As Americans we sometimes forget how important this is and how much people from across the globe look up to us because of what we have done to preserve freedom over the centuries..

I never thought about it much until  three separate instances almost twenty years apart solidified this in my mind.

The first incident came about several years ago while traveling in the outback of Australia. We had been in the bush for over three weeks. After that amount of time, with little contact to the outside world, we had forgotten what day it was. Time really didn’t matter, one day just became the next.

We drove into the small town of Daly Waters in the Northern Territory about two in the afternoon. As we entered the tiny village I noticed an old C-47 aircraft parked on a deserted airstrip. I hardly noticed the aircraft had U.S. markings. Our destination was the tiny pub in the center of town. Daly Waters, with a population of seventeen saw over a hundred percent increase in population when we arrived, our bus carried twenty-four weary travelers.

Entering the pub, it was apparent there was a party going on. This was interesting, I knew it wasn’t the weekend yet, we were to be in Darwin on Saturday and since we weren’t in Darwin, it couldn’t be the weekend.

Asking someone why they were partying, they said they were celebrating the 4th of July. We asked why they  were celebrating an American holiday. A loyal world two vet promptly replied.”We just appreciate what the yanks did for us during ww2. We were attacked by the Japanese and if it wasn’t for the Americans, Australia would have fallen”. I never realized.

The second event came about while we were cruising on an Italian cruise ship in November of 2014. The ship had over 2,700 passengers on board and probably less than 20% were Americans. It was unusual  to even hear English spoken. The night before our 2014 election the theater theme was Simply Italian. All the beautiful Italian songs were sung. Near the end of the program the vocalist began singing our national anthem.

People began to stand and sing, placing their hands over their heart.

I looked around, everyone in the audience were standing. As the anthem came to an end America was giving at least a two minute standing ovation.

The third such instance took place just a few months later. I occasionally  shuttle people to the local airports. During one such ride I received a call asking if I would pick up someone at the Tampa airport that forgot to make a reservation. The car I was driving didn’t have any airport  stickers so it would be risky, the airport police frown upon this sort of activity.

Deciding I didn’t want this family stranded at the airport I decided to take a chance and pick them up.

I would just try and be incognito, stop at the curb, pick them up and be on my way before anyone saw me.

The plan was working  perfectly. They were in the car, luggage in the trunk and we are on the way.

Only problem. The trunk won’t stay latched. My cover is blown the curb side is jammed with people and with each closing more and more people are noticing the commotion.

A rather tall gentleman stepped forward and offered to duct tape my trunk shut. He wants to  tape the trunk of  a Lincoln Towncar shut with duct tape?

Thinking it wouldn’t work I said sure try it. As he began taping my passenger asked him where he was from as he had an accent. He replied Denmark.

Now wait, who flies from Denmark to Tampa with duct tape in their pocket. Is that legal? What does the TSA say about that?

The tape worked and as we started to pull away my passenger asked him what we owed him for helping. His response. Nothing, it’s the least I can do after the United States bailed us out of two world wars.

Never saw that coming!

In spite of what we are often told by the media and those who would want to destroy our country and turn it into a socialist nightmare, the United States is still that new Jerusalem, that shining city on the hill that most look to for guidance and leadership.

We currently see what happens to the world condition when America shirks its duty and let’s evil reign over the land.

We have a responsibility  to the rest of our world citizens, there isn’t any other country that can do it. It is the price we pay for living in the greatest country ever known to mankind. We sometimes overreach, but we are the world’s police force.

The rewards are great, and the consequences are disastrous if we fail in our mission.

Men Need to Act Like Men

Art Prints

Over the last several decades, the feminist movement has done everything  in their power to minimize  men.

Men have come under attack from every corner, and as a result many believe men are no longer necessary.

As a result men have been hesitant to act like men. Many no longer want to get married or be committed to a long term relationship. Why should they?

Many women only want a child so they can have something to replace their dolls they have outgrown, and many don’t want anyone to have control over their child but themselves. They pass out sex like candy at an easter parade, so what incentive is there for a man to want to get married?

Many women have become so independent  they deem men an inconvenience. Many no longer value a man’s influence and guidance.

Men have been encouraged to act more like women and abandon their masculine  qualities.

Then when they do  women complain there are no real men around for them to marry so they can be taken care of, while all the time boasting they are independent  and don’t need anyone to take care of them.

News flash you can’t have it both ways.

Which way do you want it?

The sad part is most women never wanted equality where they were forced to help make a family living. But for many years being a stay at home mother was looked down upon and to be a stay at home mom brought scorn from the media, politicians, and others.

Like many other groups in our society no one spoke up and now many women and men are leading a life they didn’t want.

Many desire the traditional life but for some, that possibility has all but evaporated. Our standard of living has been raised so much that many now find it necessary to work to make ends meet.

For this to change men and women need to act like men and women. If you want to have a career fine, but don’t forget being a woman, wife, and mother  is one of the most important jobs in the world. Don’t get hung up on an illustrious career when that isn’t what you want just because someone thinks that is what you should do.

Don’t be swayed by those in our society who only want to destroy our way of life and what is important. Many times there are things much more important than a career.

You Can’t Legislate Morality

Art Prints

Written By : Gary Wonning

It’s been tried many times and it never works.

There are  always those who think they can control people’s behavior by passing laws against such things as alcohol, drugs, and even abortion.

Prohibition in the 1920s should have taught us something, but seemingly it didn’t. Laws were passed banning the production and sale of alcohol. What happened? People began making it themselves, sometimes with disastrous results.

Many people died from alcohol that was produced in a way that it became poisonous, making people sick and even killing some.

When are we going to learn that more government interference and excessive laws help no one.

The path to a better life is not following the laws of man,but the laws of God. His laws are the only laws that make a difference.

Only when an individual has a strong moral and spiritual base do they have a moral compass that will guide them and keep them out of harm’s way regardless of the path and the difficulties they may encounter on life’s journey.

Morality is entirely an individual choice, government can’t and shouldn’t try to legislate it.

Government needs to stay out of the morality business and begin only doing what it was designed to do,protect us from invasion, provide a monetary system and only make laws that guarantee our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

We can get along just fine without their help.

The Greatest Threat to America

Written by: Gary Wonning

The biggest concern among thinking Americans today is the threat of terrorism, more  especially home grown terrorism.

While terrorism  is a major threat to our safety and wellbeing there is another threat even more dangerous.

We have become our own worst enemy. Our freedom and prosperity has created an environment  that promotes our own demise.

In our rush to create a society with many luxuries of life we have forgotten what is important .

While our technical  advances are unequaled in history, we have neglected our spiritual  foundation.

We are our own homegrown terrorists. We resort to drugs and alcohol so we don’t have to face up to who we are or the truth of our existence. Some statistics state 75% of the American population is on painkillers, and

People over 75 average being on at least 5 prescription drugs. This is alarming! Instead of relying on our inner guidance and natural healing when  did we begin to want quick cures that many times create more illnesses than they could ever cure?

Often times a little exercise and proper diet would alleviate an health issues we may have.

Instead of working on core issues and getting to the heart of the issue, we often pop a pill or illegal drug and think that will solve our problems . This only makes the problem worse, now, not only did we not solve the initial issue, we have become addicted to drugs and or alcohol.

Somewhere and somehow we have forgotten what is important in life.

I remember growing up, God and church was the foundation of our life. Everything centered around our religious values. People then, like now weren’t perfect, but they tried to live by a code of ethics instilled by their ancestors. Even the most ruthless individuals had a line they wouldn’t cross, even to them some behavior just wasn’t acceptable.

There was honor among thieves, now there is honor among no one, the only thing that matters is instant gratification and a feel good result.

Growing up there were very few people who didn’t go to church at least occasionally, now most don’t go and in many areas churches are closing.

Most no longer have anything to believe in, they have placed their trust in an unstable foundation, either fame, fortune, or drugs. When that foundation finally collapses and it will, there is no rock for them to lean on.

People are floundering aimlessly in life, worshiping one false prophet after another. Instead of going within for answers, they are seeking something outside themselves for gratification.

In this environment, can we wonder why our society has tumbled in decay like it has? Can we wonder why the Islamic faith is growing? For right or wrong, they haven’t abandoned their God, we have abandoned ours.

If and when we once again discover our true values and spiritual foundation, the threat of terrorism will be no more.
